I found this amusing. The Boris Biker reminded me of what they say about a duck:
Calm on the surface, but always paddling like the Dickens underneath.
When I passed him, he seemed to be cruising casually along, like me. The video behind me however shows that he raised his game a bit and started making quite an effort to keep up with me (or possibly one of the other cyclists). If I had been aware of his struggle, I could have put him out of his misery earlier, at the beginning of the video I was going slower than usual, because there was a bunch of cyclists ahead and I wanted to overtake them carefully.

Sometimes when cycling you are unable to see the beauty around you, particularly when you are in traffic or negotiating obstacles. In this case, I appreciated the view of the London Shard in the clouds on Friday, only upon reviewing my video.

It’s the middle of the night and as I walk down the deserted tunnel I hear the sound of someone following me. He is trying to conceal the sound of his footsteps and as I glance over my shoulder I see he is hanging back, almost out of view. However in an instant I recognise him as the stranger who asked me for directions last night but then didn’t follow them. I quicken my pace but I hear the tail also quicken his pace, and slowly close in on me…

This is St Mary’s Church in Ide Hill. The town of Ide Hill was previously known as Edythehelle (Edith’s Hill).

This short video is brought to you with the compliments of the driver of the delivery van PE62PPZ, of Expert Logistics. I had lots of questions when I met Expert Logistics, while driving down a residential street in my home town. The driver answered them all.

The temptation might be to view this as an instruction rather than an offer.

Yesterday I did a very pleasant spin from Clapham in London to the Brighton seafront. At nearly half way we all stopped for an accident on the road ahead and I met this daughter/father on an ancient tandem bicycle, and in fancy dress.
