Bletchingly House Christmas Lights

Another photograph from Bletchingley - this was the first house bling I saw this year, as it went up about 2 or 3 weeks ago. There’s enough wattage here to melt a medium-sized Arctic ice-shelf and kill off 2 polar bears.  This might be the only snowman your garden sees for quite a while.  Yup, an impressive start to the season, even if you did jump the gun and put it all up in November.

Words cannot express my horror at this sort of thing. I swear that one in three of the houses in my street are got up like this.

Yeah. Thanks for the comment. I personally think that a few lights brighten up the place during December. Candles and lights have had symbolic importance for people for millenia, but yes this is rather tacky…  I hope to be highlighting even more garish displays in the near future.
