Boris Biker making an effort

I found this amusing. The Boris Biker reminded me of what they say about a duck:

Calm on the surface, but always paddling like the Dickens underneath.

When I passed him, he seemed to be cruising casually along, like me. The video behind me however shows that he raised his game a bit and started making quite an effort to keep up with me (or possibly one of the other cyclists).  If I had been aware of his struggle, I could have put him out of his misery earlier, at the beginning of the video I was going slower than usual, because there was a bunch of cyclists ahead and I wanted to overtake them carefully.
