rapeseed

When I looked over the hedgerows (of the country lane of yesterday), this was the view: a field of yellow rapeseed (canola or colza), as seen today in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Kent, Calais, Champagne, Lorraine and Alsace (just to name the places where I saw it).  So rapeseed is a very popular plant right now?  According to the mi oilseed news publication of 10 May 2004 the crop currently commands high prices in Europe.
