la plage du cambouis

River Thames beach

Some people are so lucky, they live right on the waterfront in London and have their own private beach (at low tide). This one even has a special feature. I’m not completely sure what it is, but it seems to be some kind of Victorian folly. And it’s a renovators dream as they would say in the property trade.  Actually, if it’s not a folly then it’s probably something that Londoners used to put people to death on.

The other special thing about this photo is that it shows cuz Ruth herself, striding out onto the beach.
