l’autoroute sous le pluie

autoroute

Another long drive today: I headed towards Paris, but at Reims turned up to Calais and took the shuttle through the “sleave” to Folkestone. The photo above was taken somewhere in Champagne.

It rained the whole way from Haguenau to Calais, except for a 10 minute break. The only variation was the intensity of the rain, and the amount of light.  Normally when it rains I like to drive with my (polaroid) sunglasses because they give better visibility through all the reflections caused by the rain. However at times it was a bit dark for them, and I just had to squint.

At least with the rain I didn’t massacre any insects (and the car was cleaner on arrival).
