Local vignettes

I haven’t done anything exciting this week, so here are some vignettes from local rides:

  1. A mini driver in a rush. They leave plenty of space but why are they going so fast?
  2. Also in a bit of a hurry a lorry driver forgets his vehicle extends 7 metres behind him.
  3. A mini driver overtakes dangerously into oncoming traffic in a futile attempt to shave seconds of his journey.
  4. Another mini driver, in a bit of a rush. He/she executes a good pass, leaving plenty of space, but why not wait 1 second for me to pass parked car?
  5. A considerate driver waits for me, and I let her through.
  6. The local police (TandridgeBeat) reverse onto the pavement while turning round. Oops.
  7. A group of pedestrians pause for me while crossing the road. I give way to them as they need to get off the road asap.
