We arrived this evening in Paris after an interesting train ride. The loud and friendly group in in the same carriage were on an overnight outing in Paris. Apparently you can get a 30 pound return ticket from London which gets you into Paris at about 21:00 and which leaves at 8:00 the next morning.  You then catch 40 winks (or 120 to be exact) on the train back.  These people shared their alcohol, notes on good all-night clubs, and provided good conversation.  In Paris we made our way to our apartment and ‘checked in’. The American woman from the agency gave us some additional feedback on the Londoners’ notes.  The apartment is good, but there was some debate about who sleeps where. I seem to have drawn the short straw as I am in the room with the snorer. We took a walk around the neighbourhood which seems interesting late at night, and got some pizza.

The other side of the cion is that there person who drew “the short straw” is quite accomplished in the field of snoring, except when he lets off a big fart.  For some reason he takes a while to start snoring again after that.
