Snow in Smisby

Smisby snow

This is the sunrise as seen from my bedroom window yesterday morning, looking over the snowfields towards Ashby-de-la-Zouch. For a comparative view, taken two months ago, look at this blog entry.  It normally takes me four minutes to drive to work in Ashby, using the by-pass, and yesterday morning it took ten minutes to navigate the icy route (passing three crashes).

Last night the Derbyshire branch of the family came round for supper. I made my usual vegetarian lasagne dish.
