Spring is now probably imminent

For oft, when on my couch I lie
  In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
  Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

After my last unfortunate prediction we have had a spell of cold weather and even some snow. Finally however the daffodils are making a late appearance, even if these ones do so with their chins on their chests.

I can’t believe you’re using that poem to illustrate spring. How predictable. Why not go for something a little more avant garde? Or, of course, you could always write your own.

I think it was pretty daring of me to chose the last stanza of Wordsworth’s poem.  I had been thinking of using a Snowdrop poem but I knew that at least one person who reads this blog might not realise it was about a flower.  Plus my photo of the snowdrops was overexposed.

My poem at that write your own site was rubbish.
