The Bishops of Prague

Looking down on the tourists, streaming off Charles Bridge and making their way up to the old town square.  At the time the statues were put here, Charles Bridge was the only bridge across the Vltava river (and was simply known as the Stone Bridge). One assumes that this is why these statues of important people were placed in this prominent position.
