The drugs don’t work



The last couple of days have been wet and miserable, and I’ve probably not helped my SAD by listening to the above song, The Drugs Don’t Work by the Verve:

It is generally believed that composer Richard Ashcroft wrote the song in response to the death of his father to cancer.

In a 2006 study by Dr. Harry Witchel, The Drugs Don’t Work topped a list of songs that make people feel sad

It’s almost a relief to drag myself off to work today ...

Chin up duck. According to Dr Witchel there’s always ABBA’s Dancing Queen to cheer you up. Unless, like me, that song makes you feel like going out and strangling someone. hmmm
