The Oxted Dairy

In an earlier age this institution was known as the Oxted Dairy. From 1984 onwards it was home to the Good Food Shop. We witnessed its rebirth, followed shortly thereafter by closure. Then it threatened to open as a hen-night/pottery class/kiddie art studio (what a combo). Well that idea never came to fruition and the site is again advertising for tenants.

People in Surrey, West Sussex and South West London looking for an ethical source of food, with some local suppliers, should now check out Greener Greens.

Well I have read that they were WW1 prisoners of war but there might have been others in WW2. I read it in a local history book produced in about 2000 for the millennium which just mentioned it and didn’t give any details.
