The River Avon

This photo of the river near Bristol, but also within the tidal zone, suggests (like yesterday’s one) that the tides scour the river bed. I believe the tidal surge on the river is 12 metres, so I regret not seeing it. Next time I might plan my times in order to witness the surge.
