Sainsburys involved in dodgy pricing?
Spotted in the Sainsburys Local (in Oxted): they claim to have “cut” the price of this smoothie from £3.49 to £3.26. Wow, a saving of almost 7 percent. Or is it? I don’t recall the price as ever being £3.49 for this product. Well they failed to even cut off the old price tag. The next photograph confirms this. I have slid the preposterous claim aside, revealing the old price underneath: £3.26. I wonder if the Office for Fair Trading would be interested?

Maybe, but last week it also cost £3.26 and it didn’t have the promotional sign.

I think you’ll find that if price tag below the promotion sign was different then it would be illegal. They are obliged to remove all old labels at the time of repricing.
